Want to try running? Improve your fitness, receive free coaching, motivational support, encouragement to achieve your personal goal and socialise with friendly people ?
Here at Barnsley Harriers we now offer a Walk to Run group aimed at complete beginners.
The 8 week course gradually introduces you to running and builds up to taking part in a 5K Locke Park fun run.
The course is led by qualified Run Leaders Amanda West & Anita Fish as well as support from other experienced runners.
Sessions take place on Mondays at 5.30pm & Wednesdays at 7.00pm from Shaw Lane Cricket club
All we ask is a £5 donation for the full 8 week session.
Then at the end of the course you may want to continue running with Barnsley Harriers and become a full member, in which case we will give you back £5 towards your joining fee. If you choose not to join, your £5 will go towards a chosen charity or an event to further the walk-to-run activities.
