Road Rankings 2026
To calculate a club members Road Rankings, we use five specified distances:
The Club Mile
5 Miles
10 Kilometres
10 Miles
Half Marathon
Other than the Club Mile, times for these distances are taken from any certified race of that distance.
Club members best times for each race are ranked with the runner who has the fastest time scoring 150 points, the next fastest 149, and so on. This means the maximum a runner can score if they have the fastest time for each distance is 750 points (5 x 150). If a runner finishes 2nd at two distances and 3rd at two of the other distances, then they would score 594 points (149+149+148+148).
The Road Rankings are separated for male and female categories, with 1st and 2nd places in each age categories receiving awards. All members are ranked, even if you only complete a race at one of the distances, but to qualify for a prize you must complete a race in at least three of the five distances.
Your age category will be determined by your age on Jan 1st each year.
Age Categories for all Competitions (except Parkrun League!)
•The open male and open female categories can be won by any member, in addition to their age category (so a vet 50 could win their age category and be first male or female overall).
•The club year for Road Rankings runs from 1 January up to and including the last Sunday before Christmas.
•Your age on January 1st determines your age group for the rest of the year in the Road Rankings and Trail Championship. For Championships and Club Records it is your age on day of the race.
•You may only count for the Club Rankings and Club Championships from the date you are accepted as a paid up member of the club or the date you re-join the club.
